Genetic Counseling Admissions Match
The Genetic Counseling Admissions Match is administered by National Matching Services (NMS). All applicants must register with NMS in order to participate in the Match.

The Genetic Counselor Educators Association (GCEA) offers a limited number of $100 NMS Match registration fee waivers to prospective applicants who demonstrate financial need and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
These waivers are intended to support eligible applicants participating in the Match and cover the required NMS registration fee.
Important Eligibility Information
- Applicants must apply for a fee waiver before registering for an NMS number.
- Applicants who have already registered for the Match and paid the registration fee are not eligible for a waiver.
- Fee waivers are limited and are not guaranteed for all eligible applicants.

Applicants awarded a fee waiver will receive instructions on how to complete NMS registration without payment. Waivers are non-transferable and may not be applied to future Match cycles or transferred to another applicant.
